Bought this together with a chain and lock to secure a new ebike in the garage. Very solid device. Like that a drill was included and even a plastic tube to blow out the dust after drilling. Instructions very clear. Highly recommended.

The product certainly lives up to its name and looks to be extremely well made. The instructions were very clear and contained many tips for installation snags that may arise. I had no problem following them to get a really solid install on my wall.

I bought this to secure an ebike in my garage. It's a really solid piece of kit and pretty straightforward to install if you follow the comprehensive instructions supplied. If you haven't got an sds drill then I'd recommend getting one if you're securing into a concrete floor; really speeds thing up.
The finished product seems rock solid.

This is my second ground anchor purchase from SFB having moved house and leave my old anchor behind because it was impossible to remove! As with my previous purchase the delivery experience was excellent, I was kept well informed both by David and DPD. Product is top quality, absolutely solid, with very detailed but clear step by step instructions and all the kit needed to install it correctly including a drill bit taped to the right depth and even a tube to blow out excess dust from the drilled holes! SFB have thought of everything to make this product as secure as it can be. I have lots of mates who have various setups for keeping their bikes secure but I can safely say my setup, with a 16mm chain and lock (also provided by SFB), is the best!

Firstly I rang up with a query regarding which resin to order. I was greeted with a very friendly and very knowledgable gentleman who offered clear and unbiased advice.

To my amazement, I received an email 10 minutes later, informing me the anchor was despatched and would arrive the following day via DPD.

I then received regular updates from DPD snd the anchor arrived as promised by 10.30am!!

A good package and the anchor is certainly 'beefy'. Reasonably easy to intall with the correct tools plus the provided kit which is well thought out. The installation video is very helpful too. However, the supplied drill bit was not quite up to drilling four holes in our extremely hard concrete floor and I had to buy another bit.
[Pragmasis Comment: I'm sorry you had problems drilling the holes. It may sound flippant forme to say it's a nice problem to have, to have tough concrete, but it's true in terms of giving a better final result. The straight-shank 12mm and 16mm drill bits we use come direct from the factory as that is the only way we've found we can be confident of the quality. Even so, I apologise that you struggled. We do offer SDS+ drills as an option, and they are in a different league in terms of their ability to drill into very tough concrete, but you do need a corresponding SDS+ drill to use them.]

I purchase this to secure a quad bike in my workshop along with a pragmasis 16mm chain.


I went for the injected resin option, the instructions are really clear and the whole job was done in about 35 mins. An airline helps when clearing the dust from the hole.

This would not be a quick thing to cut with a cordless grinder and I'm very happy with it.

Solid unit at a very competitive price,easy to fit as correct drill and fittings included,feels a quality piece of kit matched with a good chain and padlock should make things very difficult for potential thieves.

Pretty easy to fit - though I had to drill a couple of sets of holes because there were too many flints in the concrete and the drill kept getting deflected off line!
Massively reassuring lump of metal which, with 16mm chain, Squire lock and anti-pinch pin meant I could go on holiday and relax, knowing the bike was (is) safe.

Very, very well made with perfect welds and smooth, thick paint. Bought with brick wall fitting kit. Fitting went OK - apart from the extra hard bricks taking 2 hours to drill... Now fitted, it feels impossible to remove.

I would imagine any potential thief would look at this and go and find easier pickings. Very recommended.

Bought to secure two bicycles in a garage with a chain and am very pleased with it. Next day delivery with a kit containing everything needed to fit it including a really useful tiny bottle brush. Detailed instructions which were easy to follow. Will certainly recommend to friends.

Beefy arrived the next day, I was given an arrival time, which was spot on.
I fitted it in my Asgard bike shed, I decided to place it on the back panel due to the depth of bolt, which would be going into mono lock. It's a tight fit to reach the rear of the shed, so difficult to grind thievery.
Easy fit, I used a cone cutter, a doddle, then tighten bolts, I feel happier, now my bike is behind 4 sets of locks.

Another quality product - sturdily made, tidy welds and thick powder-coated finish. Everything you need to install is in the box, all you need is your hammer drill, PPE and a dustpan and brush!

I have installed a few anchors over the years and this product is great. Everything you need is included in the kit, the plastic tubing to clean the holes after drilling is a great addition. The actor it self appears very well made with good welds.
Very easy to install and feels very secure once in place.

This Beefy anchor is quite heavy and pretty robust. Very good build quality and it comes with an expanding bolts set making it easier to fix. It's also compatible with the 16mm chains which I consider a plus.

Purchased a Beefy Bridge anchor and Protector chain to secure bicycles in my garage. Service was impressive - fast dispatch and delivery and a personal email from David.

Having just bought a new motorcycle, I thought it would be prudent to install some better security to my garage in case anyone else had noticed the new bike! I did a fair bit of research and wanted something that had a decent level of security/resistance to attack but not at the same price as the bike cost! The Beefy Bridge looked like it would fit the bill for a reasonable investment. Delivery was very quick and I was kept updated with my order progress and expected delivery date. The anchor itself looks to be good quality, high level of paint finish with no rough edges and feels weighty and robust. There are extensive and detailed instructions as mentioned by another reviewer so it's worth spending 10 minutes reading these from cover to cover before starting and making sure you have ample time to finish the job in one go. I followed the instructions to the letter but unfortunately due to the age of the concrete in my garage, the chemical bond capsules failed to secure the anchor adequately. However, this has also been thought of in the instructions and alternate compounds are suggested. I used the recommended Fischer Fixings Hand Injectable Mortar Resin which has worked like a charm even in the old concrete. That anchor is not moving for anything now! The only thing stopping me giving 5 stars is that I don't know for sure whether it would save my bike in case of a theft attempt but I'm not willing to have that happen just to see if it did withstand it! I'm using in conjunction with a 14mm Oxford Monster chain which fits with a little room to spare through the hoop. Overall, very highly recommended.

I am very impressed with the solid construction and craftsmanship of this item. Just looking at the size and weight is peace of mind and security. An excellent product that certainly lives up to it's name.

The drilling is of course a little pain in the ass, but once secured - it looks like it's stay there forever. Far more massive that a ground anchor that I recently bought from a different vendor.

Clear and comprehensive instructions made it pretty easy to fit. Pilot holes (as recommended) are definitely a good idea before drilling the full diameter holes as they made it easier to position the holes accurately and eased the load on an ageing hammer drill. I started with 6mm, then 8mm then 10mm before the full 16mm (I installed the 'brick wall' version)
