Excellent security for garage doors, complete with substantial Squire padlock.
I have a few of these for work lock-ups. Not had any trouble since I fitted them 2 or 3 years ago.

The hasp and staple appears to be well very made and strong. The Squire padlock speaks for itself in terms of strength and security and together, this package was ideal for securing a large shed. In fact, I've just ordered another one for my timber garage.
Quality items at a good price - what's not to like?!

Was looking for a really heavy duty hasp and staple for my garden shed (All metal), came across this one on Google and it did not disappoint.

What was really attractive is that comes with everything you need to install it, including a drill bit. The Squire lock that comes with it also fits perfectly a makes for a clean look.

My shed doors are only thin sheet metal. so I made some Paxolin plates to go the other side of the hasp and staple to pinch everything together nicely. I’d imagine penny washers should accomplish the same though.

This is a exceptional quality product with a well matched padlock. I would not only recommend this package but consider this deal very good value for money.
One comment is that I think there should be an optional spreader plate with drilling jig - I would have bought this rather than just the washers on the back of the bolts.
One thing for sure there rest of the workshop security now needs a serious look at!!!

[Pragmasis Comment: Thanks for the suggestion of a spreader plate, but actually it would be quite difficult for whoever installs the HS1 to drill multiple holes sufficiently parallel in 2 planes to have the holes all line up on the plate on the other side of the timber, and especially for sheds with thicker timbers. We could get around that by having the holes in the spreader plate so much oversize that they might cover e.g. 5mm variation in all directions, but that would mean the holes would actually be at least 18mm diameter, which in turn would mean it would need washers to cover over the holes and all that would reduce the advantage that you are hoping for! The reality is that the washers we supply are large enough to mean you'd basically have to rip the wall of the shed off before the washers will pull through the wood ...and you've got 4 bolts/washers on each side of the HS1, and repeated on the other side of the HS1. All that means the HS1 is more secure than any realistic shed that it might be fitted to. I hope that clarifies. Thanks again for taking the time to post the review and for the suggestion. Excellent service I recieved the lock in 24hrs. The photograph of the hasp does not do it justice. It is a very heavy duty piece of kit. The padlock looks very solid and that it will give many years of service.Easy to fit, and will work as a visual and physical deterrent to anyone trying to break in.I would highly recommend this product to anyone looking for increased security for a shed door.

About a year ago I purchase the Protector 16mm chain, a SS65CS lock, A Torq ground anchor and an HS1 hasp and staple with a SS50CS lock. The quality was immediately apparent. However, a year on, some recalcitrant attacked my shed security with a set of bolt croppers. And these guys weren't messing about judging by the size of the tool marks left on the staple of the HS1. Did they get in? Not a chance. A very worthwhile investment. And I now feel even more confident about the security of my motorcycle given that they didn't even get into the shed. Fantastic products and exemplary service. Would give you guys six stars if I could.

I ordered the package deal of SS50CS padlock & the HS1 Hasp & staple plus some other items. Very impressed by the speed of delivery. The items were packaged individually very well, although the main outer box was starting to break apart in places as I got to open it, probably due to the weight of everything I ordered. The Hasp & Staple come with very clear instructions, I had ordered bolts long enough to fit through my door frame when fitting the kit and already knew where I was fitting the hasp & staple, although not having fitted one before I was able to follow the instructions and ensure it fitted well.
Due to the position/width of my door frame I had to provide a separate bolt and expanding anchor (from screwfix) to allow one of the bolt holes to be used, not a problem as a standard M8 bolt fitted through the fixing holes and I was able to fit the bolt anchor into the brick work and still have 2 of the supplied bolts go through the frame.
Altogether very impressed by the quality of the product, especially as I had chosen the cheap option and gone for a cosmetic defect part, but no issues with it at all!
The padlock is a really nice fit with very little of the shackle being visible when fully fitted, so I am confident it would resist any attacks with bolt cutters.
The whole kit seems very sturdy and when fitted with the bolts through the door and the framework, it does provide a very secure closure which I am confident would resist any attacks with crowbars. I really like the way all of the items required to fit the kit are supplied. I didn't need to go hunting for the correct sized drill bit or pop down the local DIY store to get one, it is all there and priced correctly to encourage you to buy the parts required. Overall fantastic value for money, was easy to fit for a novice DIYer and I am confident the kit will make any potential thieves think twice about bothering.
My only feedback would be to order bolts of different lengths in different numbers. I required 2 bolts at 130mm but the rest could have been 70mm, it just means I have had to chop the bolts fitted to the door down to size so they are not a hazard, compared to the bolts through the frame are the correct length. Although I appreciate this would make it more complicated when picking the orders.

Being a serving Police Officer with Greater Manchester Police for over 15 years, I am all too aware of the consequences of a shed break which is not just the loss of the shed contents but all the tools a burglar would need to break into the home readily accessible for them. After extensive research including consideration into how shed breaks are actually occurring I chose the HS1 Heavy Duty Hasp & Staple, Squire SS50CS Lock as the primary defence against a shed break.

I had been looking around at high security hasp & staples and after lots of flimsy looking supposedly high security ones I found this. Purchased with closed shackle padlock in a package deal which is outstanding value for what you get. This is a solid piece of kit without being too heavy. Easily fitted to my garden shed with included kit, but added some additional bracing for extra measure. Great service, great product, highly recommended!

These are solid bits of kit. I bought the hasp to secure our shed after an attempted break in. The thieves broke our last hasp by twisting the padlock. There is no chance of that happening with this one. Very solid.
I was also impressed with the fitting kit. Everything I needed to fit it to the shed, even a drill bit.

This hasp and staple really feels strong. It is heavy too. The lock is also heavy and solid. My guess is that it would be easier to smash through the shed timbers and walls than to try to break this mass of steel. Hasp, staple and lock are of great quality. If you want peace of mind get this product!
