Brilliant chain for my bike. Sturdy and looks impenetrable. Combined with a squire 5 barrel combination lock, someone else's bike well be taken first! Great service and prompt delivery.

This may be the smallest size chain on offer but, with regard to bicycle security, it is more substantial than others I have seen in shops for a lot more money. I am very pleased with my purchases from Pragmasis and their service is excellent.

Excellent Product! This is the third such chain I've purchased. The sight of such a chain would put off many potential thieves. I have mine fitted to a ground anchor - 30mm dia steel hoop set 12 inches deep into a solid concrete floor.

Having spent hours on the internet looking for sold secure gold rating locks for our bikes I was pleased when I came across this website. We had the ground anchor but just needed a length of chain to go around a quantity of bikes. I was impressed with the different lengths offered and a great price in comparison to other websites. (3m secured 3 bikes easily). The chain arrived quickly and is currently doing the job. I am very pleased with it. My only niggle is I would have preferred a softer protective cover to go against my matt carbon frame but this is just a personal thing for my bike. The protective sleeve it is provided with is secured and finished well. Wouldn't stop me from buying more if I need any other chains.

Having suffered 2 bike thefts last year, I invested in 1 of these for each of the family. This is an excellent product for bicycles. They are reasonably heavy, but worth it for the peace of mind. Unless you have a really high end bike, even the most determined thief is going to look for an easier target. The service at Pragmasis is brilliant.

Bought this for use with the shed shackle, very well made and just the right size/weight for locking up my road and mountain bikes (I think the next size up would have been over kill and difficult to manage). This is a high quality and sturdy chain that comes with a sleeve to protect your bikes when locking them up. Cannot recommend it highly enough.

Bought a 1m length to carry around to secure my high value bike. It is surprisingly light with an excellent tough and slippery sleeve which passes easily through the spokes. With an Abloy padlock it is very secure and less than 1/3 the price of a Halfords special which can be easily cut. Great comms and delivery. Will use again.

Absolutely phenomenal product. The chain feels indestructible, it is well made and the options available are second to none. In my opinion it was worth every penny (and more).

I'd buy one again but am confident I won't need to, instead I'll happily be recommending this to anyone and everyone that will listen.

Bought one of these chains to protect my mountainbikes with a Squire padlock,top quality chain and lock at an excellent price.

This chain combined with my own Squire stronghold padlock should be deterrent enough to send the would be bicycle thief onto easier pickings. Of course you only know security is inadequate when it fails,however,I have confidence that this will not be the case with this product.

After another stolen bike I ordered 3 chains. 1 will stay at my son's school because of the weight. At least his bike is secure now, if only thiefs don't cut the bicycle rack now. Even the 11mm chain looks like it can hold an elephant.

This is the second one of these chains I've bought for my bikes and when you see them you can't but have confidence that this is going to give you the best chance of detering someone from nicking your pride and joy. Would recommend this to anyone and its cheaper than a lot of inferior chains.

I sleep well at night now that I have a solid chain that will deter most thieves, Chained down all my bikes in my garage using the 2m chain and Torc ground anchor.

Bought this item after research online identified it as the best product. Not disappointed at all. Easy to handle and the 3 metre length is just right for our three bikes.

Excellent service the chain arrived on schedule and will be perfect as a portable security device. Anything bigger would be a challenge to carry. I am pretty sure that the size would put off all but the most determined and organised of thieves as cutting this would be quite a noisy process. Keep up the good work I will be back for the larger version for securing my bikes at home.

This is a great product. Great for locking bikes away from the house. Would recommend a bigger chain for locking up at home, where weight is not such an issue.
Chain appears to be at least as good as anything you can buy from a bike shop and is substantially cheaper.

We use these chains with the Squire SS50CS locks as our carry chains for our £3,000 Mountain bikes. We use the 13mm chains with the same keyed alike locks at home (see those for my review). This (11mm) combination is very portable and very secure. We use for trips to the shops or for the pub after a ride. If your bike is less expensive then these chains are good for leaving your bike un-attended for far longer periods. Most thieves will simply look for a bike secured with a cable or D lock rather than bother with this chain & lock combination.

The service from Pragmasis has been excellent over the two years I have been buying from them and they have always given me clear advice when I asked for it and sometimes even when I didn't :) The goods always arrive on time and as ordered. It is a pleasure doing business with them.

Several bike review sites said this chain was the business and whilst I haven't tried cutting through it and to be fair thieves will get through anything if they want (and if they have time) I reckon if there are two bikes side by side they'll go for the other one - job done(ish). It's not light but the 0.8m 11mm chain and lock is similar in weight to a higher end U lock which I also have and use in combination with the chain as different tools are often required for chains / U locks. ... as this chain is heavy, and could do some damage if dropped! It's a pice worth paying though, as the chain feels very well made, and would take some work to get through. It's being used to lock two bikes up in a shed (To a Shed Shackle), and I can sleep easy at night knowing that my bikes will still be there in the morning.

If you are looking for a chain that offers great protection but still portable, this is the chain to get; it sits on the edge of portability and high security. The quality is by far the best compared to similar size generic chains sold in motorbike and bicycle shops that I have purchased previously. It is bigger than it looks in the images and still quite heavy but for the protection it offers, it's worth carrying.

Although, I would not lock an expensive bike up in the same place, regularly and for long periods of time with this chain because it can be cropped, I would get the 16mm for that, but this chain will take a serious amount of effort to crop by the look of it and I doubt it could be done stealthily.

If you want to make it extremely difficult for your bike to get stolen get a pragmasis protector chain. I got a 11mm one and I get the impression that a bike thief would just not give it a second thought and try and steal someone elses bike with less security on instead. Customer service is excellent and would definitely recommend them to anyone who wanted to make sure their bike is securely locked up.
