I have 5 bicycles whose value amounts to around £6k, I've been totally worrying about their security for ages until I came across these products. So, I've just installed the Torc II ground anchor into my garage along with the Protector 13mm noose chain & Squire padlock. Really impressive,well made, solid kit!!

Having recently had a bike stolen whilst chained up with a chain marketed as a motorbike chain which was cropped like a hot knife through butter I decided to do some research into my options. As a day to day chain for my mountain bike this is brilliant it is a huge bit of kit which i can very easily imagine bike theives would contemplate taking a hack saw to the bike shelter rather than try to crop this.

It is a very heavy chain to carry around every day but to keep your pride a joy safe it is worth it.

Amazing customer service too which made me convinced i had gone for the right option. I will be recommending these chains and this company to my MTB friends.

Today I received the 13mm chain together with the double doofer. The quality is very impressive and convincing. The ABUS stuff looks like toys compared to these products.

The 13mm noose chain is probably the best bike lock in the market. Better than any German bike lock from Abus. A bit to heavy for transport but perfect for stationary purposes.

Bought this chain in a package deal with the Torc ground anchor. Great bit of kit. The kind of stuff you can imagine a thief looks at and just walks away. 5 stars and worth every penny.

Just purchased the 13mm chain.
Very good quality craftsmanship, nice welding and protector sleeve.Easy to use Squire lock.
Was amazed at the weight, had to spend some time to find "holes" in the motorcycle frame to be able to fit. Ended up fitting trough swing arm on one of the motorcycles and around the rear shock on the other, than routed town to ground anchor. I cannot imagine how people can handle the 16-22mm chains? This one 13mm seems strong enough to deter any thief. Although I have alarmed garage.

I ordered this chain on Tuesday, and it arrived on Thursday at my address in Belgium.

I don't think I've ever ordered anything in the UK that shipped faster than that.

The chain itself is nice and heavy, and the welds are really nice! Even though the site states that the noose is handmade and may look a bit different, I couldn't tell the difference and it's all top notch.

This chain is sure to scare the buggers away!

Bought this lock in 2-metre flavour with a noose end to slow down any scum who take a fancy to my mountain bikes.

I have it through am Oxford ground anchor on the wall, then through 3 bikes.

Seems very well made and the red cover is really nice quality.

Can't comment on how easy it is to break and hopefully I never will, but it's certainly a deterrent I'd say.

I purchased the 2m 13mm chain with noose ending. The noose ending is very convenient, and greatly increases the versatility of the chain. I am using it to secure two bicycles, attached at one end to a wall mounted anchor, and using the Squire SS50CS lock at the other end.

The chain seems VERY robust. To be honest, the weakest link by far is my anchor, so I don't think any thief would bother with this chain. They would almost definitely damage the bicycles beyond sale-ability if they did. I also loop the chain around the wheel + main triangles so that, even if they remove the anchor they would still have great inconvenience moving the bikes.

Obviously I cannot accurately attest to the full security of this device, because no one has tried breaking it yet!

I would emphasize an obvious piece of advice - make sure all the various links in your security system are well-matched, otherwise you may be wasting your money on the top chain. e.g. consider the 11mm chain for added portability.

Really pleased. Using this to lock my 2 eBikes to our Motor home. It is also just about manageable to takeout shopping etc (they are e-bikes after all:-) It is quite heavy but you can't have it all ways.

Well it may not actually be indestructible but unless you are carrying a small workshop with you and have plenty of time, I suspect this is as good as. I have a 2m length coupled with a Squires 50CS padlock and a ground anchor and use it to secure a number of bikes in the garage. Service was great and they matched the keys to an existing Squire lock I had to make life easier. Recommended.

Living in a high crime rate area of Leeds I have bought two Protector 13mm Chains and a Squire Padlock to secure a number of high value road and mountain bikes which are stored in a basement. Comparing the Protector 13mm chain to other "sold secure" chains available for high street bike stores makes the other chains look a little on the flimsy side! I'm a returning customer who having previously purchased an 11mm chain for bicycle lock up away from home needed a more heavy duty chain for home. Needless to say it was a "no-brainer" as I was so impressed with my earlier buy. Excellent product and service.

Also brought a 16mm chain but use this 13mm to keep under my Gsxr750 back seat (it just about fits)

I have not used this much but deferentially better than ANY other lock i have brought in my life time.

I bought a 3-metre chain (ca. 9 Kg excluding lock) for my Honda SH125 scooter. I used to keep it under the seat of the scooter (max weight: 10 Kg). Now that I have upgraded from a scooter to a proper bike, I keep the chain tied to a lamp post near my office. The flexibility of having custom lengths cut, as well as the noose on one end (which almost doubles the usable length!) is priceless. I am not aware of any other seller offering both options. Plus, the guys are very helpful and will guide you through all your questions and doubts if you contact them. Couldn't recommend more!

This chain together with the Squire SS65CS padlock is a great product and easy to handle. I am more than satisfied.

A friend of mine had all his bikes stolen from his garage during the night.

Purchased a 3.5 meter noose chain and ran it through 3 bikes from the torc ground anchor.

Bought the 13mm chain with the Squire SS50CS Stronghold Padlock. Couldn't be happier, far better than the off the shelf products I'd considered buying. I have ordered the 13mm Protector for my motorbike security while on the go. The chain arrived earlier than expected. Packaging was very good, customer service prompt and very kind. The chain looks like nothing I have ever seen in shops (even if it is "only" 13mm)!!! This makes other "very strong" chains look like toys.
Consider buying one of these chains if you are any serious about protecting your motorbike.

ordered Tuesday arrived Wednesday, bought it to secure motorcycle when out and about, wow it's substantial, the 16 and 19mm ones must be like the fourth bridge! Looks the part, sure it will be a massive deterrent especially if the bike nearby have Aldi specials protecting them.

I found Security for Bikes from the review on Bike Radar. The 13mm chain feels very substantial and well made and has given me confidence that I am doing everything I can (combined with Double Doofer) to protect my possessions.

I just got a second 13mm chain from the Ireland dealer. A shorter length is light enough to carry on the bicycle while still giving maximum protection.
80cm is long enough to lock your crossbar to a lamp-post, or your back wheel and frame to a bike rack.

Having started with Amazon for locks I found my way to Pragmasis via recommendation and bought the 13mm chain and SS50CS Squire lock. Both arrived very rapidly and are spot on - the chain is very solidly constructed and feels indestructible. I've since come back to buy the ground anchor, a 15mm chain and a anti-pinch pin - I'll post reviews of each once installed and in use.

This 13mm chain is the best. The 2 meter chain is long enough to go through both wheels, the frame and a bike rack or lamp-post. 2 meters is quite heavy (6kg) but is much easier to handle than the 16mm, and it fits through the spokes.

I would say this chain is also suitable for cheaper motorbikes, particularly in small towns around the country.

The nice folk at Mahon Engineering (Ireland) supplied the chain, and changed the 16mm for the 13mm once I realized the larger chain was too heavy and conspicuous for a bicycle. [Pragmasis Comment: Mahon Engineering/North West Locks Strabane are our Northern Ireland stockist.]

The only disadvantage for me is that the red sleeve is very noticeable on my bike, so I'm going to cut up a green camo t-shirt and use the material to disguise some of the red and the shiny silver padlock.

I am using an Abloy 362 padlock, its a bit overkill I know, but my bike is so secure now, there is more chance of me dropping the padlock and killing the bike with that, than there is of someone stealing the thing.

If you want to lock your bicycle and walk away with confidence, get a 13mm Protector.
I'm sure it can also be used to lock up Godzilla should he wander into your back garden, at least until you can call the dog pound.

Bought the 2m chain with a loop on the end.

It's a solid product and not as heavy as expected, so is fine to thread through a number of bike frames.

This is not a criticism by any means but as the links are pretty chunky, the lock I had wouldn't close around the standard links, so it was a good excuse to upgrade the padlock too :-)
