Having owned this some 18 months Scooter chained to my car its so so secure highly recommend

An attempt to steal my Bike in London which caused damage to bike but thankfully not gone caused me to "rethink" my security. I embarked on some internet research and was shocked by how easy chains could be "cropped". Each and every bit of information let up the same path to security for bikes website. So looking at the 2.0 metre 19 inch chain and squire padlock came out a just over £200. But if I ordered the 2.5 metre the extra cost meant I got free shipping, Just as well I did because you need more length than you think!! my chain now goes over the seat down through the frame in to the Ground anchor. That is perfect there is no chain on the ground and the bike has to be cut in half to free it.
So all in all VERY pleased with the product quality and excellent service and shipping. the only problem is it is so Heavy and therefore not easily transported, but I am going to try and find a way of taking it with me when I travel up to London..

I initially ordered a the 16mm Protector chain package deal with lock but felt a sense of guilt when David sent me photos of another Harley Davidson secured down with the 19mm Protector chain. After a night of deep thought and plenty of tossing and turning I decided to return the 16mm chain and lock and reorder the 19mm Protector chain and lock. Although it cost me for the return postage and initial postage I am extremely pleased with the change. I ordered the 19mm chain at 2.5m and lock and all I can say is it out sizes all of the other brands I had researched prior to buying. Customer service is absolutely spot on, one of the best services I have ever encountered - David was very supportive both via phone and email. The initial orders arrived the following day!! The return was also very smooth. The lock is also very well made and feels heavy duty. I haven't actually used the chain yet as i'm still waiting for my bike but from what I can see and feel I would recommend this product (including the 16mm which was also a lot heavier and well manufactured than most other brands). P.S. not for carrying around with you unless you plan to become the new Hunchback of Notre Dame!!

Purchased the 19mm chain with Squire padlock.
Excellent and timely communication - was advised a new batch was incoming and this only took a couple of days, and then with immediate dispatch and well packaged.

Orderd a 1,5m 19mm chain with lock to Sweden. Great service from Pragmasis. There were some issues with my adress because of swedish letters but I was contacted within 12 hours and everything was sorted out.

The chain is an absolute beast weighing 2kg more than my bike :-)(carbon fiber frame).

I would strongly recommend it anyone who wants a REALLY secure lock for your bike. Finding an equaly secure solid object to lock it might be tricky part :-)

Bought the 2.5 meter 19mm chain with Squire padlock.
This length allows me to chain my ZZR-1400 and Thundercat bikes through their frames to my ground anchor.
I paid round £255 which is great value considering this chain and lock will out live me!

Wow, what a chain. You have to do a Jacob Marley impression to move this chain, I got 2.5m to make an alternative double axle wheel lock to go through wheels and chassis for my caravan to supplement the questionable quality of "off the shelf" standard wheel locks on the opposite wheels. I have every confidence this will be the key deterrent now, and if tested will perform true to its claims.

I don't think, it's too much to pay for such highly secure chain and lock!
I chain my scooter (which is an expensive one) to the cycle stand near my home. The chain goes around the scooter and to the cycle stand.
Now I have piece of mind. I am sure, nobody could steal my scooter now.
I am going to buy also separate chains (from Pragmasis) for each of my three wheels.

I've had two motorcycles stolen and said to myself enough is enough (they were both times chained - with the 'cheap stuff'! hehe)

So this time around no messing about! I went for the best, and oh mighty! They don't come any heavier and the finish is awesome.

These products don't need my opinion to be valued of great quality but obviously also for me they are high quality items.

I purchased the 19mm chain with its squire lock and when you receive it at home and you open the box that's very impressive.

Maybe a smart thief can cut also this chain and lock but he will have to wake up all the neighborhood if he wants to do that.

Plus I wanted also to congratulate for the high quality customer service. Communication was very professional and fast, they have been very nice on giving me some useful opinions.

Also the shipment was quick and well packaged.

Recently purchased the 19mm Protector package deal along with the double doofer anchor, and am very happy with it. Delivery was quick and it definately looks and feels like a serious bit of kit. Hopefully any thieves are put off just by looking at it!

Bought the Package Deal; a 1.5m Protector 19mm and the new Squire SS65CS-XLN padlock. The chain I've already have the best experience with. Since I bought a 2.5m Protector 19mm chain some years ago, that I use to lock my old Harley with. But now I needed a shorter chain and a padlock. Some years ago the Squire SS65CS wasn't my first choose of padlock, but now with a lot more pick-proof 6-pin tumbler and also a better fit with the 19mm chain (XLN); it's a perfect match with the 19mm chain.
An advice to others that live in Sweden and have a Motorbike (or similar) that is worth more than money for you (If you customized it and had it for a long time it's almost like a family member): In Sweden it HAS to be two locks (or one if your steering lock is OK to use) certified as SBSC Class 3 or C (like Cen 4 + Sold Secure Gold BICYCLE...); Just use e.g. a pair of SBSC certified Disk locks to fulfil the insurance conditions (locks that also are useful when you're out and go), and then use also when at home, a Pragmasis 19mm or a 16mm Protector chain together with e.g. a Torc Ground Anchor which will keep your property where it belongs...

This chain is just massive. My brother's Oxford chain looks like a cheap bicycle chain next to the Protector 19mm. I hope I will never have to find out how strong this thing is.

Just now I ordered the Anti-Pinch mini pin because the chain is too big to fit in the gap of my GSR 750 frame. Really fast delivery too. :)

This is a monster chain. Ordered and received this chain very fast, and I use it for my motorbike. If you want the best, this is the chain for you.

This combo has 'monster' written all over it, everything is huge. And that means I can lock my bikes up knowing that someone is going to need to spend a massive amount of time getting through this set up.

Today, I took delivery of a reassuringly heavy box of "Peace of mind". It took the form of a 1.5m 19mm Protector chain, Squire lock and 340mm Anti-Pinch Pin from Pragmasis.

As many others have stated, "This thing is a beast!". All in, it weighs 13kg, so definitely only for use in a permanent place like the garage or at work; there is no way you will be commuting with it.
In order to keep everything tight and keep the chain off the ground, I have opted to pass the pin through an intermediate link, leaving a couple of spare links dangling off the pin. By ordering the larger chain (1.5m as opposed to what would have been an ideal 1.2m) I have more options should I ever get a different bike.

The DRZ400 needs a 340mm Anti Pinch Pin, which passes horizontally through between the engine and the frame, entering below the exhaust and exiting on the other side, just below the radiator hose. In my pictures, it looks cumbersome to lock up but it's really not. While crouching down next to the bike, the pin (which is already through one end of the chain) is pushed through the frame. Then reaching through under the forks, the other end of the chain is easily hooked over the far end of the pin. Standing up, it is then simply a case of reaching over the seat and applying the padlock.
Unlocking the bike is simple; reach over, remove the padlock, then just pull out the Anti Pinch Pin.
Having the lock positioned between the bike and a wall also makes it more difficult to tamper with the lock.

£200+ is a lot of money to spend on "a bit of chain" and I am the kind of person who tries to save money, so blowing this much when I already had a chain was a big thing for me. My justification was that, so long as my bike is locked up with this thing, it is going nowhere and I will never need to pay my Theft excess which is £250. Even if the most determined thieving scumbag gets past my various other alarms and locks and gets into my garage, they will have to be in there for a good long time, making a lot of noise, to even have a chance of taking my bike. I can now sleep soundly in the knowledge that my bike is safe.

One last note, the Squire SS65CS-XLN padlock which is used with this setup is guaranteed for 10 years. The chain and pin are guaranteed uncroppable by hand and will probably outlast humanity. So, EVEN IF the lock falls apart in a decade, you will have paid less than £25 per YEAR to guarantee that your bike can't be stolen by some scumbag wielding a set of massive croppers. Think about that for a moment. Buying this kit is an absolute no brainer!

What an absolute python of a chain! it weighs an absolute tonne. Had colleagues in office doing squats with it when it arrived at work.
