I first spoke to Steve late one Friday afternoon, after I found his details on the Internet. I told him that I used to park my Honda VFR 800 V-tec at my place of work but, due to building works were about to start ahead of schedule, I had find an alternative place to park my bike after the weekend!

Without hesitation, he ran through a couple of options and took the time to explain to me the benefits of each one. He certainly knows what he’s talking about. I think he said that he invented the anti-pinch pin so that was good enough for me to place the order. The goods were shipped that day, and arrived at my office the next working day! They were well packed and came with instructions ─ not that you needed them.

I’m a really fussy so-and-so, so when I experience great customer service I like to take the trouble to let them know that it didn’t go unnoticed. I bought this chain to secure my scooter, I wanted the best and decided to buy Pragmasis. The 1,5m chain fits okay to my rearwheel, because of the size heavy/bulky it's not the best for a "on the go" chain, but excellent for home use. Great customer service, maybe the best I have experienced in my life :) I live in Denmark, and hope other people here will go buy some chains from Pragmasis, good size options and the price is fair compared to what other brands cost in this country.

Must of looked at 4 different companies before finally taking the plunge on this chain. Arrived incredibly quick, less than 48 hours and the communication was excellent. Makes my old chain look like a piece of string.

I recently got the 19mm chain and lock combo with the anti pinch pin.

Top, fast and friendly service from the first email, the guys where very helpful with any questions i had.

The product arrived the day after i had ordered and a tracking number supplied. very handy and extremely efficient.

My first reactions when i opened the box was SHIT this is a beast,, i mean carrying this thing down the stairs has bruised my legs with it swinging about, i am only using this chain at home and i wouldn't fancy trying to carry this thing around with you.. It takes me and extra % mins before and after i ride to fit / remove it (small price to pay)

The anti pinch pin makes this set up flawless imo the bike is secured through the swing arm with the pin (GSXR 600 K8) meaning the chain is not hanging around the ground as i have it nice and tight around a tree.

I didn't opt for the protective sleeve on the pin to protect paint work but i am gona order one soon as its so heavy duty i know it will soon start marking my black swing arm.

I can sleep better at night now knowing that if someone wants my bike its gona take them a good bit of effort,time and noise to get this off.. it will deter 99% of thieving scum

The chain thickness is really impressive and the padlock is designed to perfectly fit that chain. The combination of squire lock and the protector chain certainly represents an added value. Finally I would like to thank the customer service: available in explaining the (technical) details, pros and cons for any product.

After enduring the unpleasant experience of having my motorcycle stolen and recovered, I ordered this chain from Pragmasis and it arrived very swiftly.

The chain itself is absolutely huge. It dwarfs my previous (compromised) Oxford Hardcore XL chain by some margin. If the links were any larger, it would hardly fit through the motorcycle wheel.

The Squire lock is well made and very sturdy. The whole package fits together perfectly and is engineered with precision.

It is worth bearing in mind that the size and quality of the chain make it quite difficult to handle; it's not something that you can put in a backpack and carry around with you.

Nevertheless, the Protector 19mm chain appears to offer the best physical motorcycle security on the market at present. One very pleased customer.

I bought this for my KTM which is a thief magnet in London. Needless to feel I can sleep peacefully at night now. This is a high quality product but make sure that it will fit through the frame. It's a tight fit on my bike.

I was impressed by the customer service from Pragmasis. On ordering online I was immediately informed of a delay which turned out to be just one day. When the chain arrived I was very impressed by the sheer size and weight of this 19mm chain. It made me laugh as it makes all my other chains look puny and wouldn't look out of place attached to the QE2's anchor. Don't think that this 19mm chain will slip through some small gaps on the bike, it is by its sheer size only going to fit through larger gaps in the frame (or wheels) and unless you need a bit of weight training its best left at home. Highly recommended.

Well worth the money you'd be a fool to buy any other chain this is the daddy very happy top product priced well.

As Errol would say - no doubt about it, £200 is (as Cilla would say) a lorra lorra money for a chain and padlock.

But, WAIT - hold the front page - this ain't no ordinary piece of kit.

The package is seriously impressive in every respect, and when you consider the cost of the kit you're trying to protect, it's worth every penny in my book.

What an absolute python of a chain! it weighs an absolute tonne. Had colleagues in office doing squats with it when it arrived at work.
But seriously excellent piece of kit and at a reasonable price considering the magnificently high standard of security which you receive and a nice touch having padlock pre greased for ease of use.

Today, I took delivery of a reassuringly heavy box of "Peace of mind". It took the form of a 1.5m 19mm Protector chain, Squire lock and 340mm Anti-Pinch Pin from Pragmasis.

As many others have stated, "This thing is a beast!". All in, it weighs 13kg, so definitely only for use in a permanent place like the garage or at work; there is no way you will be commuting with it.
In order to keep everything tight and keep the chain off the ground, I have opted to pass the pin through an intermediate link, leaving a couple of spare links dangling off the pin. By ordering the larger chain (1.5m as opposed to what would have been an ideal 1.2m) I have more options should I ever get a different bike.

The DRZ400 needs a 340mm Anti Pinch Pin, which passes horizontally through between the engine and the frame, entering below the exhaust and exiting on the other side, just below the radiator hose. In my pictures, it looks cumbersome to lock up but it's really not. While crouching down next to the bike, the pin (which is already through one end of the chain) is pushed through the frame. Then reaching through under the forks, the other end of the chain is easily hooked over the far end of the pin. Standing up, it is then simply a case of reaching over the seat and applying the padlock.
Unlocking the bike is simple; reach over, remove the padlock, then just pull out the Anti Pinch Pin.
Having the lock positioned between the bike and a wall also makes it more difficult to tamper with the lock.

£200+ is a lot of money to spend on "a bit of chain" and I am the kind of person who tries to save money, so blowing this much when I already had a chain was a big thing for me. My justification was that, so long as my bike is locked up with this thing, it is going nowhere and I will never need to pay my Theft excess which is £250. Even if the most determined thieving scumbag gets past my various other alarms and locks and gets into my garage, they will have to be in there for a good long time, making a lot of noise, to even have a chance of taking my bike. I can now sleep soundly in the knowledge that my bike is safe.

One last note, the Squire SS65CS-XLN padlock which is used with this setup is guaranteed for 10 years. The chain and pin are guaranteed uncroppable by hand and will probably outlast humanity. So, EVEN IF the lock falls apart in a decade, you will have paid less than £25 per YEAR to guarantee that your bike can't be stolen by some scumbag wielding a set of massive croppers. Think about that for a moment. Buying this kit is an absolute no brainer!

This combo has 'monster' written all over it, everything is huge. And that means I can lock my bikes up knowing that someone is going to need to spend a massive amount of time getting through this set up.

This chain is just massive. My brother's Oxford chain looks like a cheap bicycle chain next to the Protector 19mm. I hope I will never have to find out how strong this thing is.

Just now I ordered the Anti-Pinch mini pin because the chain is too big to fit in the gap of my GSR 750 frame. Really fast delivery too. :)

Bought the Package Deal; a 1.5m Protector 19mm and the new Squire SS65CS-XLN padlock. The chain I've already have the best experience with. Since I bought a 2.5m Protector 19mm chain some years ago, that I use to lock my old Harley with. But now I needed a shorter chain and a padlock. Some years ago the Squire SS65CS wasn't my first choose of padlock, but now with a lot more pick-proof 6-pin tumbler and also a better fit with the 19mm chain (XLN); it's a perfect match with the 19mm chain.
An advice to others that live in Sweden and have a Motorbike (or similar) that is worth more than money for you (If you customized it and had it for a long time it's almost like a family member): In Sweden it HAS to be two locks (or one if your steering lock is OK to use) certified as SBSC Class 3 or C (like Cen 4 + Sold Secure Gold BICYCLE...); Just use e.g. a pair of SBSC certified Disk locks to fulfil the insurance conditions (locks that also are useful when you're out and go), and then use also when at home, a Pragmasis 19mm or a 16mm Protector chain together with e.g. a Torc Ground Anchor which will keep your property where it belongs...

Recently purchased the 19mm Protector package deal along with the double doofer anchor, and am very happy with it. Delivery was quick and it definately looks and feels like a serious bit of kit. Hopefully any thieves are put off just by looking at it!

These products don't need my opinion to be valued of great quality but obviously also for me they are high quality items.

I purchased the 19mm chain with its squire lock and when you receive it at home and you open the box that's very impressive.

Maybe a smart thief can cut also this chain and lock but he will have to wake up all the neighborhood if he wants to do that.

Plus I wanted also to congratulate for the high quality customer service. Communication was very professional and fast, they have been very nice on giving me some useful opinions.
