Video showing how to install the Torc ground anchor in good quality concrete using resin capsules.
It is good practice, after leaving the resin to set overnight, to give the anchor a good tug by hand just in case there were unseen cracks etc in the concrete and the resin has had a chance to leak away before hardening. Problems like this are very unusual in good concrete, but it is good to check.
This video also shows a comparison of different types of hammer drill: DeWalt Cordless 18v XRP conventional hammer drill; Dewalt Cordless 18v lightweight SDS+ hammer drill, and a Clarke mains powered budget SDS+ hammer drill. The concrete here was very good quality so it was quite demanding of the drill and the comparison of tools is interesting.
This video shows the Series II Torc anchor. The Series III is very similar, but it adds special hammer-in hardened steel plugs to give even more protection to the fixings. The updated fitting instructions explain the process in detail.
