This anti pinch pin enables me to easily use my 19mm chain through my frame, exactly as advertised. its so quick to use now i'll never leave my chain off again. Couldn't be happier

This is an ingenious product, simple, but truly effective. I have used it with a Protector 16mm Chain, a Double Doofer and a Squire SS65CS Stronghold Padlock, my new BMW 1200GSA is as secure as it gets. I have also used this through the frames of other motorbikes as this product comes in various sizes. Absolutely brilliant.

Today, I took delivery of a reassuringly heavy box of "Peace of mind". It took the form of a 1.5m 19mm Protector chain, Squire lock and 340mm Anti-Pinch Pin from Pragmasis.

As many others have stated, "This thing is a beast!". All in, it weighs 13kg, so definitely only for use in a permanent place like the garage or at work; there is no way you will be commuting with it.
In order to keep everything tight and keep the chain off the ground, I have opted to pass the pin through an intermediate link, leaving a couple of spare links dangling off the pin. By ordering the larger chain (1.5m as opposed to what would have been an ideal 1.2m) I have more options should I ever get a different bike.

The DRZ400 needs a 340mm Anti Pinch Pin, which passes horizontally through between the engine and the frame, entering below the exhaust and exiting on the other side, just below the radiator hose. In my pictures, it looks cumbersome to lock up but it's really not. While crouching down next to the bike, the pin (which is already through one end of the chain) is pushed through the frame. Then reaching through under the forks, the other end of the chain is easily hooked over the far end of the pin. Standing up, it is then simply a case of reaching over the seat and applying the padlock.
Unlocking the bike is simple; reach over, remove the padlock, then just pull out the Anti Pinch Pin.
Having the lock positioned between the bike and a wall also makes it more difficult to tamper with the lock.

£200+ is a lot of money to spend on "a bit of chain" and I am the kind of person who tries to save money, so blowing this much when I already had a chain was a big thing for me. My justification was that, so long as my bike is locked up with this thing, it is going nowhere and I will never need to pay my Theft excess which is £250. Even if the most determined thieving scumbag gets past my various other alarms and locks and gets into my garage, they will have to be in there for a good long time, making a lot of noise, to even have a chance of taking my bike. I can now sleep soundly in the knowledge that my bike is safe.

One last note, the Squire SS65CS-XLN padlock which is used with this setup is guaranteed for 10 years. The chain and pin are guaranteed uncroppable by hand and will probably outlast humanity. So, EVEN IF the lock falls apart in a decade, you will have paid less than £25 per YEAR to guarantee that your bike can't be stolen by some scumbag wielding a set of massive croppers. Think about that for a moment. Buying this kit is an absolute no brainer!

Used the 250mm pin on my 2011 BMW R1200GSA, used this through the hole in the rear wheel through the swing arm. This baby is not going anywhere! the chain used on this was the almax V series 19mm and fits onto the anti-pinch pin with ease. no more messing about with a fiddly chain through the wheel

I have a 19mm chain which I wanted to pass over the engine on my XT660X but it just wouldn't quite go. I didn't want to use such a high quality chain round a weak point, ie wheel. then I saw this pinch pin, which still allows me to lock my bike the way I wanted to and solved the problem perfectly.. I use the 440mm for my Kawasaki ER-6N 2007. Fits perfectly through the frame. Highly recommended.

I purchased a 16mm chain and squire lock only to find i couldn't secure the bike with it so went for a 440mm anti pinch pin which solved the problem. The 440mm pin fits through the engine a treat on a kawasaki z1000 2004, sleeping a bit better now . Thanks very much for all your help .

Bought this together with the 16mm chain and it works perfectly together with the squire Padlock.

I use the 440mm size for my Harley Street Bob and it fits with enough space left on both sides.

I've purchased the 440mm pin for use with my FJR1300. The pin arrived within a couple of days of my order which was brilliant and is a reassuringly solid bit of kit.

I already own a competitor's security chain, and ground anchor, so am using the pin to beef up the security and ensure my lovely new bike stays in my possesion.

I'm very impressed with the entire shopping process and the product supplied and would have no hesitation ordering other products from SecurityForBikes.

If you have a hollow axle this will do the job superbly, it's a hefty piece of metal. It should be banned as a concealed weapon it's that hefty! I have no doubt that any bike it is used on will have to be either disassembled or cut apart before this lets go. I just wish I could've used it on my bike. A Panigale Special will NOT fit a 2012 Monster 1100 EVO rear axle. It's just a fraction of a mm too big.

Got the anti-pinch pin to go through a previously installed ground anchor that couldn't cope with a new chain- the anti-pinch pin solved the issue and now my bike is fully protected.
The pin itself is a big old lump of metal and looks a quality machined piece.

I got a couple of pins after realising the Protector Chains were too big to fit through a couple of Mammoth ground anchors I had bought elsewhere. David was great - if he hadn't recommended the Pins as a solution I would have had to use a couple of smaller, weaker chains to secure my bicycles. Excellent service.

I bought two of these for single swing arm Ducatis. The 390mm gave enough length to have a double link on each end. The 899 Panigale pin fits a 2015 Ducati Monster 821 perfectly with enough left to secure a chain at each end.....All chains were the 19mm. See anchor, chain reviews.

I was looking into upgrading the security chain for my Ducati 1299 Panigale but couldn't find anywhere to thread the chain through except the rear wheel. Then I discovered the anti-pinch pin which fits easily through the rear axle and my problem was solved.
It was a good thing I ordered a double set of the anti-pinch pin and the 2.0m 16mm chain though, so I can leave one set at work, because with the weight and bulk of the whole setup you wouldn't want to carry it all in a back-pack each day.
Everything feels very solid and well made.

The pin is a very good fitment through the rear axle and give a solid mounting for the 19mm chain and squire ss65cs lock. The quality and trust in these products is total.

This is a simple idea that is well produced. It adds more security which will hopefully make the thieves give up and look for another bike. This coupled with a ground anchor, chain and alarm gives me piece of mind.
