After reading many reviews on the internet i decided to go for the 13mm Protector Chain and Squire lock package.

I can't stress enough how all the photos/videos do this product an injustice. This chain is massive, and the padlock looks bomb proof! If like myself, you're planning to use this to secure more than one bike to an anchor, this is the product for you.

I would like to thank the guys at Pragmasis, firstly for producing a great product, and secondly for the fast delivery. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who takes the security of their beloved bikes seriously.

I already own the 16mm, but at 2.5m it is a heavy beast, which would simply not be able to go in my back box. I needed a decent chain I could take to work. I ordered the 13mm 2.5m, and had the noose link on one end.

David from Pragmasis was very helpful after ordering. Ensuring I had ordered what I need. As I ordered the 'keyed alike' option, my lock would have taken a few weeks to arrive, so David agreed to split the order and still apply the discount. He even gave me a couple of spare 16mm links to fill my anti-pinch pin gaps.

The 13mm chain is so much lighter than the 16mm and easy to transport. It is still a great deterrent, and much better than the Ox**d chains I previously had!

If you only want a chain to keep in one place, get the 16mm or higher, they are tough beasts! But if you need to carry it around, get this one.

DO get the noose link, I didn't on my 16mm and I regret it. It offers so many more options when attaching it to objects.

The guys at Pragmasis are so helpful, and I have bought a few products from them now, all great quality. You get what you pay for, trust me.

I purchased a Protector 13mm Chain & Squire SS50CS Lock package 3 years ago. It's been securing a bicycle overnight outside of a mainline London overground station. Needless to say I still have the bike and the purchase was a worthwhile investment. The quality of the product and service means I have just purchased an 11mm chain also, for a slightly lower security application. Excellent Email communication during ordering and delivery process also. 5 stars all the way!

At first I wasn't sure which product to go with, but after contacting Steve (with a photo) asking for some advice, he explained the pros and cons of different set ups. In the end I went with two 13mm chains instead of one 16mm chain, to give me more flexibility when locking up my bikes, and more security as there are twice as many points that need to be attacked.
Steve was very helpful throughout the whole process, and the shipping was incredibly fast. I ordered around 4pm, and it arrived 8:30 the next day!!
These are not light chains, and the padlocks are pretty hefty too. Very happy with the products and service. Recommended!

Bought a 2.5m long 13mm chain and padlock to go with the Shed Shackle I'd previously bought (to secure two bikes). Service and delivery were once again outstanding with the chain arriving the next day.

The chain is a monster. I had toyed with the idea of also buying a ground anchor and 16mm chain as a second line of defence but to be honest the shed shackle coupled with this 13mm chain looks deterent enough now I've got them installed. No one is taking the bikes again without significant effort and risk of being caught!

I live in a low-crime area and have kept bikes in my shed for years, but this gives me peace of mind that my shed security is likely to be that bit better than my neighbours'. It's got to be better than locking my bike to a lawnmower!

After spending the best part of a Sunday researching the multitude of manufacturers & safety rating schemes listed online we tentatively settled on this product, ordering 2 x 3 meter chains for securing our bikes to the roof of the car, our concern being that we camp a lot & the bikes are to be left on the roof overnight as well as occasionally on the car when parked in remote spots while we walk instead of riding. The length was determined so that it would encompass both wheels and the frame AND pass round the other bike's frame. Doubling the chains was just to make pinching them a damned sight harder.

We placed the order (£304.50, ouch but as you will read, well worth it!) on Sunday. We received an update email Monday telling us Parcelforce would collect later that day. They arrived Tuesday! Excellent service & communication lads! As for the product - we've not tried them out yet, BUT they are very much what they say on the tin! I have the feeling that IF someone tried to steal these bikes, they will stand a better chance if they actually take the car too. Money well spent, bang on boys! Well done indeed!!!

Solid, robust chain and lock that is fairly well priced when comparing to much weaker consumer locks. Hopefully should keep my bike safe when out and about in London.

I purchased this chain and lock with the noose end, so that I can chain my bike to my wife's when we're out together. It's ideal as a heavy duty chain for travel to deter casual thieves, and is easy enough to carry on the bike.

Perfect for a carry chain. Much stronger than the equivalent from Oxford etc. Gives me piece of mind my bike will still be there when I get back!

Excellent service. Communication was very good during production delays and confidence remained high. The oversize link option is unbeatable for making the most out of a relatively short(and thus light) chain. The 1.5m 13 mm chain is just about light enough not to put one off using it, which is the point. I would recommend Pragmasis and this chain/lock combination to anyone.

13mm chain and lock arrived very quickly and feels like a very solid piece of kit that should provide a good deterrent, particularly when away from home. I emailed David prior to the order asking for advice on which chain would suit my needs and got a very detailed, helpful reply. Sleep easy at night - very high quality and secure.

I got this to protect my new road bike in a garage using an existing ground anchor. It wraps around the rear wheels, the frame and the front wheel. It will also loop around the rear wheels and frames of two other bikes if needed.

Writing this from my motorbike trip on Sicily I can sit back and relax, very happy with this convincing security product (1.5m Protector 13mm chain plus Squire SS50CS lock). Having seen an increasing number of thefts of mountain bikes around the semi-rural area that I live in, usually from 'secure' locations, I decided that it was time to invest in some additional security. I did quite a bit of research and kept coming back to the Protector range.

I considered going for the 16mm but the various reviews pointed me towards the 13mm and I'm glad that's what I finally decided on. What a serious piece of kit! I strongly suspect anything bigger would just be too much to handle when threading through several bike frames.

To be honest, the chain seems so well made and tough, combined with a padlock that's clearly as tough as old boots, that if anyone does get through all the external security, to be finally confronted by this, then I honestly think they'll give up and move on elsewhere.

The service from Pragmasis was excellent too. Ordered late Tuesday night, package turned up Thursday morning.

Not cheap but more than worth it in my view for some serious piece of mind.

I was planning a long time ago to move my road bike from my apartment to the garage. Although my garage is monitored 24/7 with cctv and has alarm I was reluctant to make the big step. This changed today. I got this chain, the torc ground anchor and the squire ss50cs lock and now I sleep tight.
