Great chain for home use. Feels indestructible but isn't terribly portable. I use it to secure a valuable Ifor Williams trailor through a massive ground anchor and it feels totally secure. Pairs well with an Abloy 350 or 362. Great service from pragmasis.

I purchased this chain 16mm 2m rather than the 19mm chain thinking as well as using it to secure my bike whilst in the garage, i could take it with me to secure it whilst out and about...Wrong! This chain is HUGE! and heavy, too heavy i would say to cart it about on the bike. This chain makes the OXFORD and GRANIT chains look very feeble. I am using a KASP 19070X and Abloy 362 which i think are a good match with this chain. I should also mention customer service was first class.

Before the Protector I was limply draping an Oxford Monster through my front wheel and securing it with another Oxford Boss Alarm disc lock. To be fair to Oxford, I like the disc lock and still use it as one of two disc locks - the other being an ABUS Granit Sledg 77 - alongside the Protector for home use.

I went for the 2.0m chain and after a lot of fiddling and experimenting with how to make use of all of it, it's the perfect fit for the MT-07; slotting one end through the hole in the swing-arm from the outside, and then wrapping the rest of it in a figure 8 around and over the saddle, and finally back down and through the back wheel, it meets the links threaded through the swing-arm almost precisely. Took a while to perfect, there's only a few centimetres of play to fit the Squire lock, but then there's zero play in the chain either.

It weighs a fair amount, but that's most certainly a positive rather than a negative. How can you objectively rate a security product? It's either a 5 star, as in you've still got your bike, or you don't and it's a 1 star! It gives me greater peace of mind, and my ride does get stolen then I'll have to tip my hat to the thieving miscreant; they must have REALLY wanted it.

Perfect for stationary purposes. I use the noose chain which locks the entire bike. A bit bulky but the chain of choise whenever I have to lock my bike for a longer period. Can only be cut by a plasma cuter or similar devises.

I've had a 13mm chain and Torc anchor for years for my mountain bikes. Just bought a motorbike, so thought I'd upgrade to a 16mm. Stupidly didn't check to see if the lock would fit. Didn't even have to think about where to go for one, so that's on order now. Great service, quick delivery, great comms.

Purchased this chain in 1.5m with a round lock and a mega torc anchor to lock my Vespa PX around the footwell at home with a tracker alarm and a cover - should deter any theif, if not I don't think they'll get very far!

Like many motorcycle owners, I was looking for better security when travelling. I wanted to use one of Pragmasis chains but weight of the chain and lock in my top box is a big issue. This thing is an f-ing anaconda! Frankly, the weak link in my bike's security is now the bike itself. This chain is huge and heavy and definitely not for riding around. The Squire padlock is very robust and indistructable as far as I can see. I use it when parking my bike at night. If someone wants to steal my bike now, they are going to have to work for it and wake the neighbors and me. High quality products. I just recently purchased my first 16mm 1.2-m long protector chain. After some research online on both Almax and Pragmasis, the better customer service of the latter made the choice a very obvious one for me. I could not have been more satisfied with the decision. The security chain is extremely impressive in both quality and toughness, and the customer service of this company is just stellar.

For many years, I’ve used various Abus security chains, which are also very good quality. One of which is the Abus 14KS with RK 37/80 padlock (probably their strongest security chain). Comparing that to the Pragmasis, I can say that the quality control of the protector chain is even better. The welding is considerably more smooth and uniform and the round links are virtually undistorted whereas the square Abus links are a bit thinner at the curves (reduced to 13-13.5 mm), which could potentially compromise the security of the chain.

Another important point is that the Abus one uses short-links while Pragmasis has very long ones. As a result, the 14mm Abus chain is actually about 1 kg heavier than the thicker 16mm Pragmasis chain! So, you’re getting better protection at a lower weight and price with Pragmasis. To me, the optimal choice could not be more obvious. I highly recommend Pragmasis to anyone looking for a quality product and will look nowhere else myself for future security needs.

This 2 metre chain combined with the Anti-Pinch Pin, Squire SS65CS lock and Torc Anchor now secures two BMW motorcycles. The chain goes through the welded frame of the older one and the other bike is secured by the anti-pinch pin. It is not a chain to take with you when riding out though as it weighs an enormous 9 kg.

I live in a rented flat and have to park my V Strom on a tarmac area which is hidden from view. A ground anchor is not practical due to weak tarmac, but there is a very solid tree next to the bike. My solution was to loop your 16mm chain around the tree, well off the ground, and then lock it to the fork stanchions with a Kryptonite ML18 U lock. I hope that this will deter all but the most determined thieves, but if anything does happen it’s all sold secure gold so the insurance should cover it.

The 16mm chain (3m) is an absolute masterpiece and, whilst being huge, is still manageable and easy to use. Moreover, I’m reassured by your stellar reputation in the biking community and by the many tests that appear on YouTube. It’s amazing to think that you do two chains that are even tougher than this one, but for high value bikes they look like a sound investment.

I look after a country estate that was recently burgled. I have no doubt the combination of 5 metres of 16mm chain and Squire locks threaded through the equipment handles etc will make their quest very difficult in the future....along with the other security "upgrades". Having spent a lot of time researching chains I came across the Protector range from Pragmsis. I then emailed David at Pragmasis to ask for his advice. This chain is heavy. As such it really inspired confidence and is ideal for "at home" use. Really too heavy for mobile use with a pedal cycle. But at home it provides excellent protection. Recommended.

bought the chain with large loop works great to add extra length and was impressed with the size and quality great service and helpful also.

Bought the 1.2m chain to secure my mountain bike and also bought the double doofer ground anchor. The chain by itself feels incredibly secure although I hadn't appreciated just how thick 16mm really is! I'd recommend 1.2m as a minimum for this thickness of chain to allow it to wrap around the frame and through the fork crown. Twinned with the doofer this feels really secure and the service has been excellent. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Can't comment on the chain really, because to me looks super sturdy and first class stuff but I'm no expert. Had it paired with RoundLock.

Bough one for my bike after having another bike stolen.

So pleased with the product and service that I've bought one for my flatmates bike too.

Will be locked together with a slightly smaller Pragmasis chain (13mm). To hopefully make it really unattractive to pinch...

I've got a few locks and chains after a lifetime biking but I thought "new bike=new chain". This makes all my other heavy duty chains look like toys. This is one big old lump of metal and I assume would put off anyone but the most intent low life.
Combined with an anti pinch pin, a torc anchor and the big squire padlock, I'm hoping that the deterrent is enough for them to go and find easier pickings.

I have bought 3 of these of varying lengths. Never had any issues and work very well with the roundlock which I absolutely love.
