I bought a 2m chain for my new motorbike which was too small for what i wanted it for so i changed it for a 3m chain which they did no questions asked but the good thing pragmasis did for me was send the 3m chain before i sent the 2m chain back so my bike was locked at night which i thought was very good of them. Also bought the anti pinch pin and squire lock all round a very good deal

I bought longer than I thought I needed and it was definitely worth it. The 16mm 3m chain is large and heavy enough (14.5kg) to make it awkward getting it around corners and through hard to reach areas. I have two bicycles chained up in an 'S' formation to cover wheels and frames with the padlock at the front for easy removal. Getting it through the spokes can be fiddly as the advice given here suggests however the positives far out way the negatives. I definitely wouldn't go bigger or longer for bicycle. It’s a serious chain not for the faint hearted.

I opted for the 2m chain which for me is bigger than I would want to carry with me, but ideal for use when the bike is at home.

This lock and chain is huge! I knew it was going to be big, but you really can't understand until you hold it in your hands, the pictures and videos don't do it justice.

I will be using for this chain for my mtb. I think most people would find this chain too big to carry around with them. Having had a bike stolen in the past, I'm determined not to let it happen again, so I'm willing to carry the extra weight. For those of you considering the size, 0.8m is long enough, but not as long as you might think - Of course this is good as the lock stays tight around the bike and the secure point. I'm sure it would be much too short for motorbikes though.

The customer service was brilliant, the lock was dispatched on the same day that I ordered it, and arrived very quickly.

I hope this helps other people to decide what lock's best for them. Seriously get one, you won't be disappointed...
