I'm new to whole motorbike scene. After riding a scooter a couple of times, I got my CBT certificate and happened to buy one of the most stolen bikes in the UK. Initially I ordered a main stream german chain but when it arrived I wasn't quite convinced. Whilst reading comments from unhappy customers, someone mentioned Pragmasis. After reading all the details information and watching the videos I was completely confident that this is the chain and lock I need. Returned the old chain yesterday and placed my order. Customer service is exceptional. David was swift to let me know that the items I ordered are in stock and will be given to the courier next day as I missed the dispatch time. It arrived today as promised and the chain is huge! (I got a good work-out of it by doing bicep curls for a bit). If this doesn't put off any thieve I don't know what else. I'll try and keep this short - I was about to leave for a tour when I discovered I was due to stay in a seriously dodgy area. My existing locks were simply not up to the job, so I emailed Pragmasis - at around 11pm at night, asking if there was any way they could ship me a 16mm chain and Squire SS65cs lock the next day. I received an email within minutes (bearing in mind this is at night!) confirming it was perfectly possible, and everything was sorted within minutes. The product - Absolutely outstanding. Too big to crop, a serious piece of kit. Yes, it's heavy, but not noticeably. I went for a 2 metre chain, which allowed me to use it for a selection of bikes. I also went for an Anti Pinch Pin, to allow extra flexibility.

This is a serious chain, for serious use, and it is a real 'buy it for life' item. Don't bother buying something cheap, thinking you are being clever saving money - you aren't. I'm tight as anything, and even I realised I simply had to buy this.

Go on, do it. For your bikes sake, and your own.

I've had two motorcycles stolen and said to myself enough is enough (they were both times chained - with the 'cheap stuff'! hehe)

So this time around no messing about! I went for the best, and oh mighty! They don't come any heavier and the finish is awesome.

After reading numerous reviews, I not only bought this package, I also bought the anti pinch super pin and Doofer ground anchor.
I have a Ducati Multistrada 950s and was not sure what to buy that would fit and secure my bike. David sent me a photograph of the chain and anti pinch pin fitted to a previous customers Multistrada. Not only that he arranged for me to chat with the customer for more info. He went out of his way to help me make the correct choice of security. Hopefully I will never know how effective the security package is, however what I will say is, the chain and lock, the anti pinch pin and the Doofer ground anchor look and feel substantial pieces of security kit and look the part. If this works as a deterrent only, it is money well spent. I would highly recommend this company and these security products.

Received 2m of 16mm chain and the 65mm Squire padlock just now. The sheer size of the chain should be enough to intimidate a thief....and that's only the 16mm chain and not even the huge 22mm one!

I was looking for a suitable product to keep my newly purchased Vespa GTS Super safe and this seemed to fit the bill perfectly. I keep the bike locked on the street overnight so wanted to be assured that I had done everything I could to ensure that it is still there in the morning.

On the advice of David from Pragmasis I use the chain and padlock in conjunction with their Anti Pinch Pin which goes through the back wheel. For anyone else with the same bike the Anti Pinch Pin is a tight fit and the end protector cap needs to be popped off for it to fit between the brake disc and the rim.

The chain and padlock are just as impressive as the customer service received, excellent on all fronts. I would definitely recommend the Protector chain and Squire lock along with the pinch pin.

Service and communication first class and the lock and chain are superb it makes me want to go out and park up somewhere dodgy and say go on then have a go, losers. I shall now enjoy riding and parking where I want, FREEDOM !!!

I ordered the chain without being sure it can fit the frame pass-through of my bike and included this in the comments section. I was going to buy the 13mm protector chain but decided on the 16mm after reading the product write ups. Ordered and delivered within 24 hrs.

Very pleased with my purchase. The thickness of the links and lock shackle should make a decent and visible deterent and will give me peace of mind. Especially when coupled with a ground anchor for extra security.

The tips on how to use the chain are well worth viewing and David's email gave the purchasing process a personal touch.

All in all, a great product with excellent service.

I bought the 2m variant - very good product, feels unbreakable. The lock unfortunately stopped working after 1 month possibly due to debris going inside. The customer service team replaced the lock immediately.

Bought this set in 2.5m with an oversize ring earlier this year.

It has already saved my bike from two robbery attempts, London..
First it scared the thieves. On the second they came with an angle grinder, did one cut. The lock needs two to let go. That gave enough time for neighbours to react.

Noose option is great. Allows for anchoring the chain to a lamp post and keeping the bike on the street.

This was my 3rd chain, padlock and ground anchor from Pragmasis over the years. All continue in use.

Extremely pleased with this security package for my brand new Vespa GTS300 Super Sport. Living in Central London the chances of scooter theft are ridiculously high particularly on this model. There have already been a few attempted axel grinder and ride away thefts on other motorcycles right under my apartment, even with a 24 hour security presence and I have no doubt mine will now be a target. Only the highest security will do and after a lot of searching this package came up trumps and is definitely worth the money. The Anti-pinch pin (standard, 250mm length) fits very snugly through the rear wheel between the rim and brake disc and is just the right size to thread through the chain ends either side of the wheel and add the squire lock with ease. I tried the heat shrink protective sleeve but that adds a few mm and it wouldn’t pass through. The 16mm chain is very hefty and looks far stronger than anything else I have seen. The pin is surprisingly big and weighty and the padlock has a look of don't even bother.

Note the chain is bulky and heavy. I have traveled with it in the under seat compartment (which at 1.5m with the lock and pin takes up at least half the space) but for daily use away from home it is probably too large and could easily damage the bodywork without extra care being taken. I will mainly be using mine for at home attached to a ground anchor. I have found the anti-pinch pin and squire lock can be used standalone as a rear wheel lock on this model of Vespa, which is a more portable option.

This is my third purchase from Pragmasis. These chain far far exceed anything from mainstream vendors.

I have these securing my motorcycle at work and in the office (19mm/Squire/Pinch Pin).

I needed something for my mountain bikes to use in conjunction with the Torc Ground Anchor and decided to try the 2.5m noose since the chain needs to loop through the anchor but also go through 3 bike frames.

I always find David to be prompt and the service to be second to none. The products are of the highest quality and will last for many years. Compared to the cost of bike insurance, alarms and cheaper locks I think these chains are a good deal as they are a one-off purchase. I was quoted £350 a year to insure just one of my bicycles! I would rather spend the money on this chain.

I really cannot fault these chains apart from the weight but that is the point I guess.

As a suggestion maybe some kind of loyalty bonus for next time :-). Still eyeing up that 22mm!
