This lock and chain is huge! I knew it was going to be big, but you really can't understand until you hold it in your hands, the pictures and videos don't do it justice.

I will be using for this chain for my mtb. I think most people would find this chain too big to carry around with them. Having had a bike stolen in the past, I'm determined not to let it happen again, so I'm willing to carry the extra weight. For those of you considering the size, 0.8m is long enough, but not as long as you might think - Of course this is good as the lock stays tight around the bike and the secure point. I'm sure it would be much too short for motorbikes though.

The customer service was brilliant, the lock was dispatched on the same day that I ordered it, and arrived very quickly.

I hope this helps other people to decide what lock's best for them. Seriously get one, you won't be disappointed...

I opted for the 2m chain which for me is bigger than I would want to carry with me, but ideal for use when the bike is at home.

A heavy duty chain and padlock that prevented my road bike from being stolen from my garage when thieves broke in last year.

I bought longer than I thought I needed and it was definitely worth it. The 16mm 3m chain is large and heavy enough (14.5kg) to make it awkward getting it around corners and through hard to reach areas. I have two bicycles chained up in an 'S' formation to cover wheels and frames with the padlock at the front for easy removal. Getting it through the spokes can be fiddly as the advice given here suggests however the positives far out way the negatives. I definitely wouldn't go bigger or longer for bicycle. It’s a serious chain not for the faint hearted.

Most online purchases tend to have automated impersonal responses however to my surprise the people at Pragmasis contacted me in person by email and organised a quick delivery.

I bought a 2m chain for my new motorbike which was too small for what i wanted it for so i changed it for a 3m chain which they did no questions asked but the good thing pragmasis did for me was send the 3m chain before i sent the 2m chain back so my bike was locked at night which i thought was very good of them. Also bought the anti pinch pin and squire lock all round a very good deal

ordered the 16mm chain and padlock combo arrived the next day. I can now sleep easier as my pride and joy is now secure. Very impressed with quality of the product.

I just bought a new bike and even though it came with a top of the range alarm I wanted to make sure I could physically lock it down too. I live in a block of flats however, so my options are somewhat limited in terms of what I can and can't install, etc. Steve couldn't have been any more friendly and helpful, offering loads of brilliant advice and suggestions. The product is fantastic but it's the help and advice that makes the difference. Without Steve's help in deciding how best to secure my new bike I would have been lost. Steve even contacted another customer with the same bike to see what worked best. Given that I am living in Hong Kong I wanted to make sure I got it right first time due to the expense of shipping. I bought the 16mm over the 19mm to use with the pinch pin. At 2 mtr's it's a substantial piece of kit, but one has to be realistic!

I am glad I bought from Pragmasis, as their main rival uses tactics I dislike! In response to questions or similar Steve is open and frank about his products and this integrity sealed my order. Not to mention his obvious commitment to his business and customers too.

My 2metre 16mm chain is superb and the package deal Squire SS65CS lock is CEN 6 approved, which is the highest. In addition there was excellent communications, traceable parcel via parcel force and next day delivery. Superb service.

I bought this chain with Squire SS65CS padlock.
The chain and padlock are heavy and very solid. I have a Ducati Monster 796 and, if we exclude rear wheel, the chain is huge and it is difficult to secure it directly on the frame... but somehow I will fix that! :)
However the products are excellent!!!

Steve has been indescribably helpful and patient with the many emails of enquiry I sent, to which he replied in detail to every single email of mine. This in itself is outstanding service.

I bought this product and must admit when I opened the box and saw the sheer size and thickness of the chain I felt only the Man of Steel himself could break through it - and he doesn't exist! Needless to say, Almax have a formidable rival manifest in Pragmasis Protector.

If there was any fragment of a criticism it would be that good security is so damn expensive, but it's hella worth it compared to the cost of a new replacement motorcycle!

The anti pinch Pin is a brilliant idea, and in Rome no one is using this system, so I'm hoping to gain a good deterrent. Only issue: my god, the chain is heavy! Don't even think to get it on your bike.

I wanted a chain & lock ( that we could carry!) so me and the misses could chain our bikes together knowing we couldn't really do anymore other than not take them out. This package fits the bill perfect cracking bit of kit and the company could not have been more helpful. 5 star product 5 star company

Very impressed with both parts. Have installed the torc ground anchor, chain and lock. Certainly a deterrent just by apperance of the big chain on the floor. Worth every penny. Anyone thinking about going for cheaper options on the market, don't be put off. Bottom line is there is no others on the market built like this. Get it and you'll understand.
