Torc Anchor

That's not going anywhere!!!!

Ordered the Torc anchor to fit to the base of a Asgard Metal Bike Shed positioned on top of flagstone paving.

It arrived the next day, thoughtfully packed and with detailed instructions.

Took a good hour to fit - well worth the time to get it right.
Excellent product, thorough fitting kit and clear instructions

The Series II anchor's simple design and heavy duty components make a very robust and formidable anchor. Fitting is easy as the kit has all tools required including drill bit, Allen key and a drift for fixing the ball bearings. All I needed was my power drill.
Excellent Product Impeccable Service

Can't believe how good the quality of service is from Security For Bikes. Absolutely first class.
In terms of the product then it looks like even the Hulk would struggle to try and crack it!
Very very pleased customer.
A nice ground anchor

A robust heavy duty ground anchor with a simple but very smart design… :-)
Thanks Stephen, for an excellent service and help!
Onto my second anchor ..
- 12/10/2012
Fitted one of these to a house in a rather bad neighbourhood in Manchester a couple of years ago to protect a bike that was kept outdoors ... that bike never went missing despite being targeted! Now needing to protect my motocross bikes there was only one product that I looked at - the Torc Ground anchor. First class product, well designed and once fitted it ain't going anywhere! Ordered in the afternoon of Thursday, arrived by 11am on the Friday ... great product, great service from Pragmasis also .. Thanks!
Brilliant

Arrived in the most thought through packaging I've seen and with idiot proof instructions. If I ever wanted to steal something attached to one of these I think I would start by attacking the concrete!
Absolutely first class

I was one of the first to buy and fit the series II (to concrete into the ground) Torc. The instructions were precise and informative for anyone to follow. Having had some sort of ground anchor for decades (Home made) I can say that THIS IS a really well made piece of Kit and well thought out. I used it in conjunction with some 19mm Protector Security Chain and a Rotalock padlock to secure my Ifor Williams Trailer that I rely on to make a living.

I Purchased the 19mm Chain, the Anti Pinch pin with the Torc Ground anchor and Squire SS65CS Padlock.
Originally i was going to Bolt the Torc Anchor to my Garage floor, but unfortunately my concrete floor was only a couple of inches thick. Back on the phone to Steve who advised me to purchase the Concrete-In Fitting Kit. I can not thank Steve enough for the lengthty phone calls and first class advise I received from a man that is so passionate about bike security. I cut an 18 inch square hole at just over a foot deep, using a coupe of bags of ballast and a bag of cement.
All concreted in about an hour, very easy assembly of the fitting kit, Hey Presto one very secure locked up Motorcycle. Great product and a great Company. I cannot recommend this product enough.
Thanks again To Pragmasis a truly excellent product.
Excellent in every way!

Quality of supplied product was superb, the instructions are detailed and specific, and the service from Pragmasis was top notch.
The attention to detail in the product was outstanding - 4 pages of instructions, a piece of tube supplied to blow concrete dust from the drilled holes (!) and even an M8 bolt supplied to use a punch for hammering home the ball bearings into the tops of the countersunk socket bolts. For £67 inc. postage I have no hesitation in recommending this product - it's worth every penny!

I ordered this then messed up the dates which I needed it delivered but the guys bent over backwards to accommodate my requirements and were friendly every step of the way.

The product itself is great and does exactly what it says on the tin!
Excellent service

Very impressed with the initial ordering of the product, excellent advice given by Stephen. Product is solid, robust and very easy to fit with the supplied kit.
Head and shoulders above the competition
- 06/07/2012
I have spent nearly 20 years as an industrial design engineer and user interface designer. I've been asked to remove a well-known brand ground anchor which the collegue had positioned in the wrong place (and was not too bright either!). A long crowbar and suitable fulcrum pulled the chunk of concrete out with ground anchor within minutes. The instructions for installation were rubbish, completely missing key points such as 'as strong as the weakest element' and no concept of what makes a strong bond, resin or expansion.
While the Torc ground anchor is no doubt as tough as they come, as a professional thief (I'm not!) I'd not be looking at this at all, but the concrete quality and bolts used. This is where the good engineering and instructions from Pragmasis are head and shoulders above the competition. Seemingly small details like removing the dust from the bore holes, and making sure the bore holes are within 5mm of the resin tubes, is what can make or break a robust install.
I do think I could remove this ground anchor with a 20-tonne jack, but it'd make a hell of a noise and take about 10 minutes to set up and burst free. Such a piece of kit is also pretty hefty to carry about. The only improvement I can think of is to use a steel plate as used on the ground anchor, but about 25cm square with eight staggered bolts. This of course would cost quite a bit more!
An excellent product for the money, with very good instructions and kit supplied. I believe this is probably the best ground anchor on the market.
5/5. The rest I would rank 2 or less.
Very sturdy. Fitting kit and instructions are superb.

Worth 5 stars for the supplied fitting kit (including drill-bit, hex driver and makeshift punch) and comprehensive instructions alone. The anchor itself is very beefy and the fold flat design is neat. Great stuff!
A tidy product and fitment

Ordering was simple and delivery very prompt. The Torc is neatly finished although I wonder how well the coating will resist knocks from chains and being driven over. At least it folds nice and flat.

The installation instructions are very clear, well sequenced and include many tips to ensure it goes well. If you're even vaguely handy with a drill you should be able to get this done.

The screw-style resin dispenser worked well and was plenty large enough to cement 4 neat holes.

[Pragmasis Comment: This was with the 100ml Injection Resin kit. We don't expect the powder coating to withstand being driven on and clattering chains, which is why we use a zinc phosphate treatment first, to give weather resistance even if the powder coating does get chipped during use.]
Not going anywhere!

Now I very very rarely write any review on a site I buy a product off - in fact I could probably count how many on one hand, but this is one of those times.

I did weeks of research online and in stores as to what would be the best type of anchor for my Harley, as well the location I wanted to put it in the garage and the type of grounding I had in there as well. I eventually concluded that the Torc Anchor is far superior to others offered on the market.

Once ordered, I changed my mind about where to deliver it as I was going to be out, but this was no problem for Pragmasis who were happy to change the address to my work one within a few minutes.

Once the product arrived it was very well packaged - each componant seperately bagged and labeled. They have even put labels on the fillings so you know they are not part of the product! Once unpacked there was a contents list with what should be in the box as well.

I took my time reading through the instructions which were well thought out and explained. Being only 26 with little DIY experience, I fully understood what was required.

I set about fitting the Anchor - which was the concrete fitting kit one - and finished within about an hour, taking my time. The finished product fits flush, and the drill bit supplied has tape around it so you know exactly how far to drill for the bolts. My only criticism of this, is that the drill was very worn by the end, and that was even with pilot holes drilled with a spare smaller drill piece I used. Also, please ensure you have two drill batteries ready if you are using a cordless drill - my first battery went after only the first hole of drilling, despite being at full charge at the start. This is important for when you get to the drilling of the bolts to break the glass resin, as you cant afford for the battery to die as it says in the instructions.

The product is brilliant, and I have pulled and tugged on the Anchor since fitting it, and it certainly won't be budging anywhere fast!

I am thrilled at the product, and for the price, I believe it's a good deal. The staff are friendly and very helpful, and will happily take the time to assist you with any enquiries.

Cant recommend this product enough.
