High-Security Ground Anchor — Fully Removable and Ideal for Renters
The Double Doofer Removable Ground Anchor provides serious, Sold Secure Gold–rated motorcycle security in a design you can bolt down and rely on, but one that you can also move, when you move. It can accommodate chains up to 19mm in diameter.
It delivers the strength of a permanent anchor but with the flexibility to remove the unit. Perfect for rented properties.
Once locked into place with a heavy-duty chain and padlock, the Double Doofer works like any high-security ground anchor. When you move house or need to relocate, simply remove the unit and reinstall it elsewhere.
Why choose a removable ground anchor?
A removable anchor gives you the security benefits of a fixed anchor without the commitment or limitations of a permanent installation. It is ideal if:
-
You rent your home and cannot install permanent anchors
-
You park in a shared or communal area
-
You want security in a location where permanent fixings may cause objections
-
You need an anchor you can take with you when relocating

You will need:
- Hammer drill or SDS drill
- Socket/spanner
- Vacuum or brush to clear dust
- PPE (e.g., eye protection, gloves)
Installation summary:
- Position the anchor base plate on a sound, level concrete floor.
- Mark fixing holes and drill using the supplied 16 mm bit.
- Fit the base plate using the supplied fixings and tighten securely.
- Place the removable anchor body over the base plate.
- Secure in place with the top plates and screws.
- Pass your chain through and lock as normal.
Note: The security of the Double Doofer is dependent upon the closeness of the fit of the chain(s) through the anchor. Failing to use the correct chain, or failing to use the chain correctly, can leave your property vulnerable!
Not suitable for installation in fresh concrete or for fixing to paving slabs or block paving. (Please see the Torc Ground Anchor for any of those situations.)
