Our hardened steel security chains differ from a normal chain as they have been produced using an alloy to improve their strength and heat-treated and coated to further strengthen the chain against sawing and bolt-cropping. Smaller chains (e.g., 11mm, 13mm) balance weight and protection for everyday use, while larger chains (16mm, 19mm, 22mm) suit long-term anchoring at home or in high-risk areas. The chain thickness you choose depends on a few factors: portability, price and performance against attack. All of our chains will resist freeze attacks, sledgehammers, angle grinders and bolt croppers. A chain is only as good as the fixed point it attaches to — consider a ground anchor or secure post when pairing your chain.
