The Protector 22mm chain is one of the toughest motorcycle security chains available. Manufactured from high-grade, through-hardened boron steel, this exceptionally heavy-duty chain cannot be cropped using manual bolt croppers.
While no chain is completely angle-grinder-proof, the sheer thickness of its 22mm links provides one of the highest levels of real-world resistance available.
Maximum Security for Stationary Use
This is the standard version of our Protector 22mm chain, with conventional chain links at both ends. At 1.35m long, it is designed for securing a motorcycle directly to a suitable ground anchor or other fixed object, such as a lamp post.
The chain is the same formidable thickness as the shackle of our Torc Mega ground anchor, making the two an excellent combination for maximum-security installations.
The Protector 22mm is made for situations where you want the highest practical level of security. It weighs over 8.5kg per metre—significantly more than our 19mm chain - so it is best suited to stationary or long-term use, including garages, sheds and overnight street parking.
Our original Protector 22mm chain was independently tested and approved by Sold Secure to its Motorcycle Diamond standard.
