Independent Testing

It's important that we produce products that perform well and that our customers can trust.

That's why we work closely with Sold Secure, an independent organisation in the UK that evaluates and compares security products. We work closely with Sold Secure to ensure we design and develop products that not only meet but exceed the standards they set.

During prototyping and development we often send products to Sold Secure to get their opinion before we go into production. This ensures that we develop products with the best design and materials, to withstand the latest tools and techniques.

While a product's ability to withstand an attack is important, it is of equal importance to us that our customers can see that our products are independently tested at the highest level and certified based on how well they perform in the tests.

When a security device such as a lock, chain or ground anchor is awarded a Sold Secure rating, whether that's Bronze, Silver or Gold, you know it has been thoroughly tested using real-world tools and techniques and has proved worthy of certification.

Sold Secure do not issue a rating for all the products they test. In fact, lots of manufacturers don't submit their products to be tested as they know they will fail. Even a Bronze rating is hard to achieve. 

Sold Secure will try and defeat each product using various techniques, including:

• Drill resistance
• Twisting (Torque) attacks
• Freezing
• Picking
• Wedge / Leverage
• Bolt Cropping
• Freezing

All of our hard security parts have been tested and have earned a Sold Secure rating, including the highest security ratings, Gold and Diamond, for multiple products.

Sold Secure provides consumers with a single, consistent rating, making it easier to confidently choose a product, factoring in its price and the security level it offers.
