Pragmasis Engineering Limited is pleased to announce the successful supply of 28 Super Shed Shackles to the Roundhills housing development in Waltham Abbey.
The units were supplied in partnership with 3ace Ltd and are now installed to support the project being delivered by Qualis Group for Epping Forest District Council. These installations form part of the site’s long-term commitment to resident security and asset protection.

The Super Shed Shackle meets the Secured by Design (SBD) Sold Secure SS104 standard for Pedal Cycles, part of the Police Preferred Specification. SS104 outlines rigorous requirements for dedicated bike security products, including resistance to specific tool-based attack testing. The structure of the standard provides tiered ratings (Bronze, Silver, Gold), with Gold offering the highest level of resistance for secure cycle storage, including fixtures used in residential and development environments.
“We are proud to see our Super Shed Shackles contributing to the Roundhills project,” said Ben Cope, Director of Pragmasis Engineering Limited. “Meeting SS104 requirements demonstrates that our products are aligned with Secured by Design guidance and the expectations of modern developments where cycle security is a priority. We are pleased to support a project that benefits future residents and the wider Waltham Abbey community.”
As part of the installation, Pragmasis Engineering worked with 3ace Ltd, providing support to ensure the units were integrated efficiently within construction timelines.
“3ace has been an excellent project partner,” added Ben. “The installation of 28 Super Shed Shackles demonstrates a practical step in improving residential security standards and aligns closely with current requirements for secure bike and equipment storage in new-build housing.”
The Roundhills project continues to progress, marking a key milestone for all organisations involved and reflecting a shared commitment to delivering secure, resident-ready housing with enhanced protection against theft and vandalism.
