Our custom-made SecurityForBikes RL21 RoundLock super-compact padlock has been designed to fit our Protector chains. It also doubles as a motorcycle disc-lock.

Independently tested to Sold Secure Motorcycle Gold and Pedal Cycle Diamond standard. It's small but mighty!

The RoundLock has a beefy 21mm pin and a compact body that spins, making it very hard to defeat. It features a disc detainer anti-pick cylinder with 9 discs, protected by a rotating anti-drill hardened alloy steel plate.

It offers almost impenetrable resistance against common attack methods, including grinding, hammering, freezing, and drilling.

We think this lock offers unbeatable bang for your buck!

Key Options

We offer two different key options: Keyed Different and Keyed Alike. If you want multiple locks on the same key, please order Keyed Alike. If you only need one lock, please order Keyed Different.

RL21A Chamfered Socket

We also produce a socket with a chamfered edge, this is called the RL21A. While the standard Roundlock works well with all of our chains, the RL21A makes it slightly easier to use the Roundlock with our 19mm chains and chains from other manufacturers which have slightly different link dimensions. When selecting this option, we will send you an RL21A socket instead of a standard socket.

Chain options

We recommend this padlock with the Protector 13mm and 16mm chains. It will fit the Protector 19mm chain, however, we also sell a RoundLock Adapter which is called the RL21A. This adapter has a chamfered edge and is used instead of the standard-issue head, making it easier to fit the lock to the 19mm chain.

RL21A Socket for 19mm and larger chains

The RoundLock fits all of our Pragmasis chains. However we have produced a different socket, called the RL21A, which has a chamfered edge. This makes it easier to use the Roundlock with 19mm and larger chains and chains from other manufacturers. The RL21A socket is used in place of the standard RL21 socket.

Motorcycle disc lock

This lock can also sometimes be used as a motorcycle disc lock - Check that you have a suitable opening that will take the 21mm diameter shackle in your brake disc or disc carrier and that there is clearance behind the disc for the lock to sit.

Sometimes spokes or the wheel hub are too close for the lock to fit in the gap. When it fits your disc, you can then use this with a chain when at home and as a disc lock when out and about.

RoundLock vs Squire SS65CS

The RoundLock is lighter and a lot more compact than the Squire SS65CS whilst offering similar security at a much cheaper price. Note that this is a 2-part lock where the top section comes out completely and is then re-inserted sideways through the chain and into the female lock receiver.

11mm chains

The RoundLock is generally not suitable for 11mm chains.
