Made from hardened steel and supplied with anti-tamper coach-bolt fixings, it's highly resistant to attack and is also protected from the elements thanks to the anti-corrosion finish.

The Squire No. 8 is a high-quality wooden door locking solution, but it’s originally supplied with only one coach bolt and the remaining fixings are wood screws. The visible wood screws may invite a would-be thief to try and bypass them by unscrewing them or levering them out. This leaves potential weak points that can be exploited by prying or levering attacks.
Our Uprated Security Kit solves that problem with additional coach bolts and machine screws. Quickly, easily upgrade this hasp and staple for maximum protection.
What the Uprated Kit Does
The kit replaces several of the standard wood screws on the hasp and staple plates with bolts that go right through the shed wall, secured by nuts on the inside. This significantly increases the resistance to prying and levering, turning a good hasp into a great one.

How It Works
On the hasp side, the two supplied coach bolts replace the original wood screws.
On the staple side, two of the wood screws are replaced by machine screws with nuts on the inside.
When locked, the hasp completely covers the screw heads, preventing tampering.
Because of the tight space behind the staple, machine screws are used instead of coach bolts on that side — they provide secure through-fixing and maintain the staple flush against the shed's surface
