The Squire SS50CS is a great match for our 11mm and 13mm chains. This closed-shackle padlock offers increased resistance against attack over the SS50 due to the lock body covering more of the shackle.
It's rated as Sold Secure Motorcycle Gold and meets the European CEN 4 standard.
It's a fantastic lock to pair with a chain as the enclosed design makes it very hard for a scrote to access the chain or shackle.
The lock features a hardened steel body and a hardened boron steel shackle. It's almost impossible to get bolt croppers onto the shackle, let alone through it. It also has anti-drill protection, which is a common method thieves use to attack residential settings.
The lock is key-retaining, meaning the key can't be removed until the lock is returned to its closed state. The SS50CS is an excellent choice for outdoor use, as it has withstood over 200 hours of salt-spray testing. It's a great choice for trailer or heavy-goods vehicle security, perimeter gates or warehouse shutters.
