The Protector 22 mm Noose-End Chain is one of the toughest motorcycle security chains available in the UK. Made from high-grade, through-hardened steel, this heavy-duty noose chain is impossible to bolt-crop by hand. There's no such thing as an angle-grinder-proof chain, but this is close.
What Is a Noose-End Chain — and Why Use One?
A noose-end chain has an oversized ring welded at one end. This allows you to:
- Wrap the chain around a fixed object or ground anchor
- Thread the other end of the chain through the ring
- Attach your lock to the looped chain (i.e. a D-lock)
This grinder-resistant chain is made for situations where you want the highest practical level of security. It weighs over 11kg per metre, which is almost double the weight of our 19mm chain. It is best used for stationary or long-term parking — home garages, overnight street parking.
The noose design:
- Keeps one end of the chain captive so your padlock only has to secure a single link
- For many locking scenarios, a noose end provides faster, more secure, and more versatile use than a standard chain.
Our original 22mm chain was independently approved by the experts at Sold Secure to the Diamond standard. This noose option offers more versatility.
