Protector 16mm uncroppable hardened boron steel chain (select length below), plus the super-compact RL21 RoundLock.
The chain is Sold Secure Motorcycle (Powered Cycle) Gold (in fact, it is Sold Secure Gold in every category) and the RoundLock is Sold Secure Motorcycle Gold/Quad & ATV Gold/Bicycle Gold/Motor Scooter Gold approved. The chain is 4.5kg/metre; the RoundLock padlock is another 0.6kg. The chain is supplied with usually bronze colour sleeving, and the chain itself is finished with either zinc plating or a black finish.

Keyed-alike available at initial order only (not available retrospectively) when ordering more than one lock together, and only amongst other RL21(A) locks and/or DIB-Series D-Locks. These locks can't be keyed-alike with any of the Squire locks. Please note that the Keyed Alike option must be selected for *all* locks in the set that you wish to be Keyed Alike.
The RoundLock is generally not suitable for our 19mm chain unless the optional extra RL21A socket is also purchased and that is used in place of the standard RL21 socket. The RL21A socket is available separately - Please Click for the RL21A Socket product listing. However, please note that some batches of 19mm chain are a little wider such that the RL21A special socket is not required: In those situations, it is better to simply use the standard (non-chamfered) socket that is supplied with the RoundLock. The recommendation, always, is to use the closest-fitting lock arrangement that is possible.
The RoundLock can also sometimes be used as a motorcycle disc lock - Check that you have a suitable opening that will take the 21mm diameter shackle in your brake disc or disc carrier. You can then use this with a chain when at home and as a disc lock when out and about. Note that disc locks do not prevent a bike from being lifted into the back of a van, which is a common technique employed by thieves.

The Protector 16mm chain has the following link dimensions (nominal): 132 x 62-64mmmm outside; 100 x 30-32mm inside, throughout its length (an elongated end link is not required). It is constructed from 16mm diameter bar. The smallest rectangular hole it will fit through is about 65 x 34mm, but that would also be a tight fit. It is again fitted with a protective fabric sleeve, usually a bronze colour (adding about 4mm maximum to the width noted above).
