There is a lot of jargon and a lot of acronyms in the security word. We've published this glossary to help you better understand the terminology used on this website.

CEN - Central European Norm. This is a security grading system (from 1 to 6) with 6 being the highest rating. CEN is a European independent testing agency, who test locks and award them a security grade.

Closed Shackle - Often referred to as CS, this is a type of padlock where the lock body partially envelops the shackle, making it harder to attack.
